Eva update

Little miss Eva is now a little over a week old and doing great. She is still in the RNICU at UAB and will be for about 3 weeks. She has lost a little weight but its nothing she can't gain back. The reason for the early delivery was due to her very high heart rate and Renea's very high blood pressure (that is the short version of a scary 3 weeks). However, soon after delivery they both went back to normal. She was placed on a ventilator for a couple of days, but is back on room air. She pulled both of her IVs out and they do not think they will put them back in. She is definitely a trooper and living up to her name.
There will be new pics of baby Eva to come. Please keep her in your prayers. She is tough, but she is still a premie.

We will be hosting a shower for Renea as soon as possible. However, if you would like to go ahead a help out by sending a gift Renea is registered at Babies R Us.

Eva Elizabeth Giles

We are proud to announce the unexpected and premature arrival of Eva Elizabeth Giles. She was born around 10:30pm Thursday August 21st 2008 and weighed in at a whopping 4 lbs and 12 ounces. She was born premature at 31 weeks (9 weeks short of full term) .
Both mother and baby are doing well. Renea came through the procedure like a real trooper only dry heaving a few times....lol... and that little 4 lb angel was squealing with delight....

I love this picture of us

This was taken at his one year shoot. He was all upset after eating his cake and wanted me to hold him. I didn't know Kim took this until I got them back.

Owen in the tub

This picture wasn't taken that long ago. He has since gotten his hair cut.

Owens 6 month Shoot

Here are just a few pics from Owen's shoot. I haven't even posted my absolute favorites yet, because I want to see my mom's face when she sees them. (She is coming into town next weekend so I will post them afterwards). I am so excited about all of these pictures he is so handsome and Kim did a fantastic job!!!! Enjoy the preview :)

My Little Chef

Owen has decided that he has to be in the same room as me or he is just not happy. So, while I am cooking dinner I have been giving him my pots and utensils to play with. He loves it! My poor hardwoods are literally taking a beating.

Owen's First Boo Boo

Now that Owen is becoming mobile, he gets a little excited and goes face first into the carpet. So... here it is his first real boo boo. He got a carpet burn on his nose then again and then he scratched it. It is close to being gone now, thank goodness.

Another Fun Weekend with the Hughes

Aiden and Austin are becoming more intrigued with Owen. They just don't realize that he is not yet as tough as they are. Give them time and they will be knocking each other all over the place.

Alabama Augie and RJ's little tigers.

Owen loves playing with all of the boys old baby toys it gives him a break from his toys at home.

Poor Owen, the twins were running circles around him all night. He tried his hardest to keep up. It won't take him long and he will be off and running right behind them.

I love this Picture

Happy Birthday Micah

Last Saturday was Micah's (the next door neighbor) birthday. He turned the BIG 2. He had a Spongebob party complete with all the decorations and a moonwalk. We had a great time! Owen was a little grumpy, but he finally warmed up to everyone and enjoyed himself. He had his first bites of chocoalte cupcake and daddy took him for a jump in the moonwalk.

Zoey needless to say enjoyed the moonwalk. She was beet red and out of breath by the time we left.

Go Bama!!!

Are you for Bama too?

He looks so innocent in this picture.

Hey Reagan look at me I can crawl now!!!

A Brownie for the Birthday Boy

Eva made a pan of brownies for Owen's party, so we let him take some bites off of Daddy's peice. He liked digging in it but wouldn't actually put it in his mouth.
